Event Night (dinner 11.20.08)

Tonight we attended a fundraising event for Julie's Family Learning Program. I have been involved with Julie's since I ran the marathon for them in 2007, but now I have taken a less strenuous role being a member of their board and teaching nutrition classes for them. The event was held at Gillette Stadium where the New England Patriots play - here is a picture of Will and I overlooking the field!
We enjoyed our night out very much and the timing of things couldn't have worked out better as far as the baby's "schedule" goes (by schedule I mean when he eats and when he sleeps...there is no real pattern to it yet). Overall the event seemed like a success which is of course much more important than us having a good time. The food served there was great - I had a plate of veggies & cheese with hummus to start, 2 scallops wrapped in bacon (sorry not photo'd) and then some turkey, beef, green beans, roasted potatoes and a roll for dinner. Today was a long day and I am sure I will sleep well tonight!
This Meal Provides Approximately: Grains = 1.5 ounces (-whole), Vegetables = 2 cups, Milk = 0.25 cup, Meat & Beans = 3-4 ounces, Oils = 3-4 teaspoons, Discretionary Calories = 80-90 kcals (gravy on my turkey, plus cheese)
This afternoon I had a snack of a tangerine (Fruit = 0.75 cup) and a granola bar (Grains = 2 ounces, +whole)
