AreyouoverdoingitAfter overhearing a conversation between 2 friends who were going back and forth about how grueling their workouts were I knew I had just come up with a great tip for you today.

I know we talk a lot about burning calories, building strength, and boosting your metabolism, but I want you to keep in mind that your workouts are meant to build up your health and not deplete you. It’s important to know when to take a break and decrease the intensity of your workouts.

Not every workout should push your body to the limit. When that happens you are setting yourself up for burnout and possible adrenal fatigue.

A well designed program will have periods of increasing intensity followed by proper recovery time. Not only is it the best way to train in terms of getting results, but it’s the best way to stay healthy over the long run…
