Drink More Water

Was this a
resolution your made for yourself for this year? Have you been able to stick to it? If you have then that's great...if not here are some more reasons to drink your water to help you with your weight loss...
- Water makes up 75% of our body making this an essential fluid that we need to constantly replenish
- Hunger can be a sign of dehydration so take in a tall glass of water before you begin eating
- Being dehydrated can also cause craving for sweet foods so before you grab that cookie or cake take a drink of water and see if the craving passes
- Drink more of your water in the morning or early afternoon - you don't want to lose sleep because you drank it all in the evening and now have to get up often to use the bathroom. Good sleep is also essential for weight loss.
- Drinking water can help increase your metabolism because the body needs water to process calories
- Besides drinking water you can eat water dense foods such as fruits, vegetables, broth based soups, and cooked grains
- Don't like the taste of water... add some lemon, cucumber, a squeeze of fruit juice (one of my favorites is pomegranate juice!)
- The best thing about water.... zero calories!
