Book Many people tell me that they don't know how to cook. My response is always that is isn't hard at all and like all other things it takes practice, practice, practice.

Knowing how to cook your own meals is essential for weight loss. Having control of what goes into your food makes a difference - you have control over the fat and salt that goes into your meal as well as the serving sizes. You can add or subtract what you need to make a meal that will fit into your weight loss plan.

In the beginning cooking may seem like a difficult task, but as you get the basics down you will be effortlessly preparing healthy meals. If you make mistakes don't beat yourself up. It's ok if you burn the rice or overcook your vegetables - eventually you will have the skills to make perfect weight-loss friendly meals.
