Extra Sleep? (dinner 1.29.09)

I am tired tonight and since the TV shows I like to watch are repeats, I think I will just go to bed early and try to get a little extra sleep. We have a busy weekend ahead of us so some extra shut eye tonight will probably help me out later. I spent far too much time in the car today but it was worth it because now Bruce is nice & clean and I won’t mind having him snuggle up with me! I ate a simple dinner of scrambled eggs and a mini wheat bagel. After dinner I had a Fage 2% greek yogurt (Peach flavor).

This Meal Provides Approximately: Grains = 1 ounce (+whole), Milk = 0.6 cup, Meat & Beans = 2 ounces, Discretionary Calories = 40 kcals

I saw the leftovers in the fridge but I wasn’t in the mood so I will try to eat them for lunch tomorrow or sometime this weekend. Most of the day today I thought it was Friday, so I am really happy that Thursday is truly wrapping up and tomorrow is the last day of the week. It’s a big work day tomorrow since I think I will have some help at home. Will is more and more active everyday which leaves less and less time to get things done, but how can you not smile at this…

Exercise is my salvation tonight

IMG_2922.JPGToday was a great day, until about 3:00. Then my house went CRAZY. We had meltdown after meltdown, and it was messy (my apologies to the people in Barnes and Nobles that witnessed the tantrums). So tonight exercise is my salvation. I need the endorphins (those “feel good” chemicals) that kick in when you work out to hit me….and quick. ZUMBA take me away!!!!!

On a positive note, I did manage to squeeze in my five minute ab time today while I counted during hide and seek. Three sets of 12 bicycles and stability ball crunches fit perfectly into my turns to count:) How do you fit it in? Tell us your secret.

Busy or Boring (lunch 1.29.09)

It seems like my days are either really busy or really boring. Today has been a busy one. We drove Bruce to the groomer first thing which took a while because of traffic (compounded by the icy weather). By the time we got back it was time to meet up with my friend. We enjoyed a nice latte at Flour and then went back to her place around the corner to let the babies play a little. I am home now and just ate some lunch but I got the call that Bruce is all done so I am packing Will back up and we are hitting the road again. I’ll take it easy once I am back in Boston! Mike is not going to be home for dinner tonight so I had to put those nice steaks we bought in the freezer so that they didn’t go bad. I think I will have something simple since it’ll just be me and I have cooked some big dinners this week. I actually ate leftover Beef Stroganoff for lunch and I have plenty of chicken and pork in the fridge too so I’ll be fine. Back in the car now…
