Seafood Dinner (2.27.09)
Saturday, February 28, 2009 2:00 No CommentsMike and I treated ourselves to a nice seafood dinner tonight since these last few weeks have been long and we have not been spending as much time together as we usually do. I wanted to go to a seafood restaurant to stick with my meatless Friday plan (during Lent) so we chose Oceanaire. They have an amazing fresh seafood selection and we ate a smorgasbord of it. We started off with a crab cake appetizer, then Mike ordered a tray of oysters and I ate one. For my dinner I had a piece of “simply grilled” Bay of Fundy Salmon and sides of asparagus and macaroni and cheese. I enjoyed a glass of wine and a decaf cappucino too. I walked out of there stuffed but so satisfied – it was a really enjoyable dinner and a nice way to wrap up a long week. Have a great weekend and I’ll see you back on here Sunday night!

Muffin Top!
Friday, February 27, 2009 22:46 No Comments
Today I taught stroller exercise and devoted the class to moves that target the MUFFIN TOP! You know the bulge that can sometimes hang over your pants (check out yesterday’s breakfast for the visual). The workout included tons of cardio bursts (jump rope, jumping lunges, sprints) which are key for burning fat, and plenty of toning exercises including side bends, side planks, woodchoppers, and supermans.
This weekend my Nan, the really flexible one, turns 89. HBD!!!! We’re having a family bingo party, should be a blast! Then it’s one long run on Saturday and Sunday morning soccer. I hope the weather holds out. It’s been 50-60 degrees in NJ for the last two days. Have a great weekendJ
