New Fitness Trend for 2009
Monday, February 16, 2009 23:41 No CommentsYou may have noticed those new dumbbell looking things popping up in your gym or even at your local Target or Walmart. They’re called kettlebells and have actually been around for quite awhile, but with only small groups of people…
Long Weekend Wrap-Up (2.14-2.16)
Monday, February 16, 2009 23:28 No CommentsWhat a treat to have a three day weekend. I got to do a bunch of different things these last few days and I enjoyed every minute of it. The only bad part was that Mike had to work so most of my time was spent with Will and not as our family of three. We did enjoy a couple dinners together though so it wasn’t like I didn’t see him at all. As you can see, we are getting Will used to going out to eat…he can even hold a spoon already!![]()
It should be a quick week since it’s only four days long – and I actually don’t have class tomorrow so I have a little extra time to get work done. My food intake was dictated by where I was this weekend. Friday night we enjoyed a relaxed dinner with friends here in Boston. I got a salad and a special “California style” hamburger (which could have had more “California” if you ask me). Saturday morning I ate breakfast at home but then hit the road. The first stop I made was at a birthday party then I traveled home to my parents house to take part in a going away party for my cousin (headed to Iraq where he’ll be applying his veterinary skills to help the cause). Sunday I spent the morning at my parents but headed back to Boston so that I could meet up with my girlfriend for brunch. It was a nice day so I spent a lot of time taking walks with the baby and the dog! Mike and I enjoyed dinner together at a local restaurant that night and then Monday I spent around the house doing all the usual things (house work, dog walks, quick grocery trip and some course work). I hope you enjoyed your Valentine’s Day / President’s Day weekend. Thanks for sharing your plans with me on Friday, it was fun to see what people were looking forward to splurging on!
