Danskin Triathlon Series

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend. I got up early this morning (around 5:30am) to register for the Danskin SheROX NY Metro Women’s Triathlon (sprint distances .5 mile swim, 9.5 mile bike, 3.1 mile run). Last year registration closed quickly and I missed out, so this year I was determined to get in. But turns out sign-ups didn’t start until 10 am, so I waited. And after a crazy morning (my girlfriend actually had to sign me up because I couldn’t get to a computer at 10), I’m tired but I’m in for the Sept. event. Yeah! It’s gorgeous in NJ. The sun is out and it’s about 50 degrees. I love these days! This afternoon I’m picking up my son from school and we’re headed to the local park to play Ultimate Frisbee and run around. Then tonight it’s boot camp at 8. Check out our HUGE Dora frisbee.
Head to www.danskin.com for more info on the triathlon series.

So Far No Luck (lunch 2.9.09)
Monday, February 9, 2009 16:17 No CommentsSo far I have not had much luck getting Will to sleep and in turn be able to get work done. That nap I mentioned in my breakfast post lasted all of 10 minutes and then he was ready to play again. He was due to have a bath today so I gave him one because that usually calms him down and he sleeps afterward. He’s down right now but I don’t want to jinx myself like I did this morning. I ate an early lunch just to make sure I got it in. I used some more of the White Bean Dip (it’s an Ellie Krieger recipe on Food Network) like hummus and put it in a pita pocket with veggies. I had a reduced fat string cheese and two clementines on the side. I am loving all these leftovers from the party this weekend – they have really come in handy and are saving me a trip to the grocery store! I am not sure what we’ll do for dinner — I have to see how the rest of the day goes…I may not have time to cook if I haven’t been able to get my work done.![]()
