Stress Busting Foods (breakfast 3.23.09)
Monday, March 23, 2009 11:40 No CommentsI am rushing around the house this morning because I need to travel outside the city to do a TV segment on Stress Busting Foods (featured in the March issue of SELF). I got everything that I needed ready last night so I just had to get myself set to go…and eat breakfast of course! My brother is staying with Will — thank goodness for family. It feels like a Tuesday with this type of morning, but alas it’s only Monday. I guess I’ll just be repeating this again tomorrow when I have to get to class and then again on Thursday when I have to get Bruce to early groomers appointment. Yikes, it looks like it is going to be a busy week for me but all the more reason to stay on track during the day so that I can get to sleep early at night! For breakfast I had PB&J on whole wheat bread – I wasn’t sure if I would have time to eat at home or if I would have to eat in the car so I made something that was portable. I also had a glass of milk and some strawberries. I’ll post a link to the video of the TV piece as soon as I can. Have a good Monday![]()

Weekend Wrap-Up (3.21-3.22)
Monday, March 23, 2009 2:19 No CommentsThe weekends go by so fast — I am stating my case again for the 4 day workweek and 3 day weekend! I was all over the place these last couple days but sadly my camera and I were separated for part of the time so some of pictures are from my camera on my phone which is not as good (sorry). I couldn’t tell you what kept me busy on Friday for fear that the mom-to-be would read the blog but here’s what I was doing…![]()
I was making a cake for a friend’s baby shower that took place on Saturday. Mike had to go to a birthday party the same time I was at the shower so his parents stayed with Will and then we all went out to dinner that night. Sunday was mostly a workday – I was getting ready for class and a TV segment that I am doing tomorrow morning on Fox25 Boston. I am trying to get to bed early tonight because I have to be up very early for that. Here is a quick summary of my food intake (the highlights).
Bus Stop Scales: The Weight of Shame
Sunday, March 22, 2009 23:07 No CommentsThis bus stop advert in The Netherlands is linked to a set of scales that shows the weight of the person sitting in the shelter. The ad is for Fitness First (a gym). Presumably you’re so embarrassed the public display of your weight – that you go running for the nearest Fitness First……
