Thursday, April 30, 2009 23:27 No CommentsProven food facts for heart health still remain short. But new research on over 200 studies involving millions of people still validate that by consuming an abundant amount of fresh vegetables, whole grains, beans/legumes, olive oil and numerous other healthy…
Too Many Lattes? (lunch 4.30.09)
Thursday, April 30, 2009 18:51 No CommentsI ate a quick lunch after I took Bruce around the neighborhood and before Will needed to eat – it wasn’t the best plan because I ended up having to eat quickly and with the baby on my lap but at least I got to eat right around lunchtime. I toasted a whole wheat english muffin then put a slice of cheese along with some hummus and tabbouleh on top of it. It was a nice change from the usual PB&J I have on english muffins. I’ve been keeping my lunches small because no matter what I eat I have been getting hungry in the late afternoon and go for a snack then. ![]()
It’s beautiful outside and we have already enjoyed the one walk but are looking forward to another later in the day. Since I drove Mike into work this morning I got to get a latte. I think we may be doing that too often though because Mike is now on a first name basis with the Barista (an extremely friendly Asian woman named Haon, who is fascinated with his height) and this morning she labeled our cups as she refers to him…”Mr. Mike”. It made me laugh when he showed it to me!![]()

Thursday, April 30, 2009 12:20 No CommentsI posted this earlier this morning but apparently the date on my iPhone was set wrong so it was showing up down the page (2 days ago). Sorry!
I don’t have too much going I today, right now I have to drive Mike into work but after that I am staying close to home. It’ll be the usual routine, take care of Will & Bruce and try to get a few of my own tasks done when there is time. The sun is shining so we will definitely take a walk or two! For breakfast I had a mixture of Cheerios and Total Cinnamon Crunch with skim milk and a pear. Time to run into town, enjoy your day!
Ways to Slow the Hands of Time
Thursday, April 30, 2009 10:57 No CommentsWhile it may be somewhat apocryphal, legend has it that Spanish explorer Ponce de Leon traveled to Florida in search of the Fountain of Youth. And though he was more likely there to search for gold and expand the Spanish empire, the story of vitality-restoring water is one that continues to intrigue us to this day. …
