Car Wash

IMG_3516.JPGThe rain finally stopped and the sun was shining today. YEAH, there’s nothing like a beautiful day to get you out of a funk. My gang and I spent the afternoon at Mom’s car wash. We hit the driveway with a few buckets of soapy water, a hose, and some sponges. What a great workout! The suds were flying, the boys were soaked, and after about an hour of washing (more like scrubbing) we had a clean car. Tomorrow it’s Self’s Workout in the Park. Have a very Happy Mother’s Day

Outside Time (lunch 5.8.09)

The sun is still shining so I am heading out with the dog and the baby for a nice long walk. I am feeling pretty tired today but I am hoping the walk will wake me up. I think tonight is going to be low key and for the first time in a while I can go to bed when I want to! The weekend is also supposed to be nice so hopefully I get more outside time then too. For my lunch I had a turkey and cheese sandwich on a whole wheat pita with some grape tomatoes and cheddar bunnies. I am still thinking about the pizza tonight, and getting excited for it!

Excitement Relief (breakfast 5.8.09)

I feel like a student myself this morning, the excitement and relief that the semester is officially over. I loved teaching my food science class but it made for a lot of early mornings, late nights, and long (working) weekends. I’ll enjoy the summer break as much as the students in my class will! I am driving over to BU once Will wakes up from his nap to drop off final exams for their pick-up and then it’s the start of the weekend for me! It’s beautiful out right now, I wish I could go take a walk but I want to get the papers over to school ASAP. I think we are getting rain later but maybe I can squeeze in the walk before then. For breakfast this morning I had an English muffin with PB&J, a glass of milk and a banana. Mike mentioned pizza for dinner so I am going to be on my good eating behavior during the day and then I’ll really enjoy my favorite splurge tonight! Have a great Friday and weekend to follow. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!
