Good For Something! (lunch 6.30.09)

All this rain we’ve had is good for something…my herb garden! My basil and cilantro have taken off and the dill is not far behind. I am not so sure about the marjoram, it is a slow grower but at least it’s alive!

100_5398.JPGI actually hope we get a little rain these next couple of days because there will be no one here to take care of my plants. I am blogging lunch early because I need to get my laptop packed up and into the car with the rest of the stuff. I won’t actually be getting to my parent’s until late this afternoon because I am going to stop halfway and take Will to his play class. I know my lunch is going to have to hold me for a while so when trying to decide what to have (from my very limited choices) I chose a vegetarian chili over vegetable soup because I was getting double the fiber and six times the protein! I’ll be checking back in tonight from home-sweet-home Cape Cod!

training tales as she and her team gear up to run 13.1 miles at the New York
City Half Marathon on August 16th:

believe that to reach your main goal, you have to have little ‘goal-ettes, ‘ as
I call them, along the way. They are those little Yes! moments, when we reach milestones leading toward
that ultimate goal. For my team, our
‘goal-ette’ was a 5 mile tune up race last weekend in Central Park, as we build
towards a half marathon in August.
