“8 Movie Treats Under 80 Calories”
Saturday, June 6, 2009 16:00 Recently I was attracted to a topic in Health.com about movie treats. The article was “8 Movie Treats under 80 calories.” Well the goodies were low in calories all right but honestly, they were extremely small servings and I think the temptation would be difficult to overcome when you usually have to buy the huge package of candies movie theaters typically carry. (You could master these smaller size portions if you would actually be satisfied with such a small amount and know how to eat "mindfully.")
What’s a dieter to do when you go to the movies when this taunting environment entices you to eat?
- Go to the movies after a meal because If you go during dinner time you will be hungry and won’t be able to overcome the sights and smells of all the junk food items that are so readily available.
- Bring only enough money for the cost of the movie. Don’t bring your debit card.
- Bring something small that you can eat without guilt, preferably fruit and maybe a small amount of nuts.
- Sneak in your own health bars and snack size popcorn bags, just don't tell anyone I told you to do it!
- Watch your movies through Netflix and control what snacks you have at home.
Readers how do you overcome the movie theater trap of temptations?
