Healthy Food Chart

I headed to my parent’s house this weekend and it was a great way to spend my two days off. Mike was able to come and both my sister and my brother were there too so it was a big family weekend! We had nice weather and we spent a lot of time outside – sitting on the deck, walking in the neighborhood and of course, checking out the progress of my dad’s garden. I was hoping it would be nice enough to sit at the beach for a couple of hours but we are not quite there yet – maybe next trip. Here are two fun pictures I took this weekend – Will discovered what bubbles are and we had a huge rainbow after a rainstorm on Sunday afternoon.

We attended a benefit event on Saturday night to help raise money for a family friend who was in an accident this fall and we also tried out a new eatery (The Burrito Place) opened up by some people we know so I didn’t do much cooking these last two days. Mike and I made dinner when we got home on Sunday and we’ll be cooking every night this week because we are off to another destination next weekend (to attend a party). I hope you had a great weekend — don’t you wish it was another three day like last week!

On Friday I got down to my parents first, then my sister arrived about 2 hours later and Mike arrived an hour after that. Like most Friday nights, we just ordered pizza because it was quick and easy — and who doesn’t like pizza?! My mom and I snacked on some cheese and crackers as we played with Will and waited for the others to arrive.
