Can’t Eat In This Heat (lunch/dinner 7.29.09)

I ended up spending a lot of time in the car today between getting Bruce to and from his haircut and then a trip into town in addition to that. When Mike’s not going to be home before Will goes to bed I try to run into town so he can see him and today we knew that was the case so we had lunch together. I got right back on the road after lunch (that’s why I am doing a combined post) and then the rest of the day is a blur. I know it involved a lot of traffic, a couple dog walks, some playing, dinner for Will and dinner for myself but how it got to be 9:30 already is a mystery to me! For lunch I had a small serving of crab, shrimp and artichoke dip with pita chips, and a grilled salmon sandwich but I didn’t like the bun so I just ate the fish, maybe 1/3 of the fries and half the pickle. For dinner I pulled out a bunch of leftovers from the fridge. I had the rest of my salad from last night (which I added a little more greens and beans to because it was pretty skimpy for a dinner salad) and I reheated some potatoes from Monday but I only ate a couple pieces because I was feeling full by then. I have trouble eating when it’s this hot out – I either lose my appetite because I am so hot or because I drink so much water to keep cool and hydrated. Anyone else have that problem? I am going to relax a little now because today was a pretty long day!

I’ll post a picture of Bruce’s new do tomorrow – he has already gone to bed after his long day at the groomers with lots of other dogs around him!

Even some staffers here (not mentioning any names!) who are dedicated gym rats like me have been caught in kickboxing class sporting running sneaks. Im here to put a stop to it! In classes like that, and even on other cardio machines, always opt for cross trainers. They’ll give you the lateral (side to side) support you need. JK Wedding Entrance Dance

IMG_3835.JPGThere’s nothing that makes me want to get up and move more than watching the JK Wedding Entrance Dance. Have you seen it? My husband and I were blown away when we caught The Today Show recreation on Saturday morning at the local deli (and I haven’t stopped talking about it since). It was awesome! From the first minute of the dance to the last everyone in the store including my kids, the cooks, and a police officer were bopping around and SMILING! Now that’s the power of dance. My husband and I just wish we would have boogied down the aisle at our wedding. What a great idea! The boys and I have watched it over and over again since seeing it. And of course the song “Forever” is on repeat when I run. Don’t miss it!
