Wind In All Directions (lunch 8.31.09)

I had a hard time on my run this morning because somehow there was wind in all directions. I run a loop so I am used to having wind in my face one way and at my back the other but today I had wind in my face all the time! I could have used the wind at my back to make things a little easier but you can’t control that just like you can’t control the rain or the heat. I ended up running half of the time and walking the other half – Will fell asleep so by walking I let him sleep longer and I liked the excuse since that wind was really bugging me. For lunch I had another tomato, basil, mozzarella sandwich — the tomatoes my friend gave me taste so good I just had to make use of them this way again! We are off to the store to get a little food for the house and then we’ll be taking it easy this afternoon.

Feels Like Fall (breakfast 8.31.09)

It’s the last day of August which is hard to believe – this summer went by so fast. It’s feeling like fall this morning and I am going for a run shortly. We were up early so I had time to eat a normal size breakfast before exercising. It looks like the whole week is going to be nice (sunny, cool in the morning) so I hope to get back into a regular running routine. It’s hard to stay on track when you have to deal with rain, or the total opposite extreme heat & humidity – I would go out in some of that myself but not when I am bringing a baby along. For my pre-run breakfast I had a big plate of strawberries and raspberries along with a small bowl of cereal – Bare Naked G’Mornin’ Sunshine. I hope you enjoyed your weekend – welcome back.
