Sample Interval Training Workout
Tuesday, December 29, 2009 22:21 Over the last 2 interval training posts I’ve gone through what interval training is and how to use an easy formula for creating your own. Now, I want you to see how you can put it all together for a truly fun and effective workout!
Check out the 5 steps below on how you can use interval training today:
Step 1:
Complete a 5-10 minute warm up
Step 2:
Begin your interval workout by choosing your preferred exercise (treadmill, bike, mountain climbers, etc) and getting your heart rate pumping for 30 seconds
Step 3:
Peddle or walk very slowly for 60 seconds to allow your heart rate to recover
Step 4:
Repeat this 30:60 work to rest interval pattern for up to 10 rounds
Step 5:
Cool down for an additional 5-10 minutes by walking or biking slowly
