Women consuming more than three servings of fish each week have a lower risk of stroke, claims a new study.

Over a ten-year period, Swedish women eating plenty of fish were 16% less likely to suffer a stroke.

The American Heart Association (AHA) recommends eating fish at least two times each week, especially fatty fish – such as salmon and mackerel – which are rich in heart-helping omega-3 fatty acids, and low in harmful saturated fats.
