Heading Out (lunch 12.11.08)

Thursday, December 11, 2008 16:13 No Comments

It’s a nasty day – rainy, windy and cold – but I am heading out of the house to go see a friend. Mike is working late tonight so I needed something to break up the day a little. I can take one rainy day at home but two gets me stir crazy. My girlfriend is grabbing us bagel sandwiches for lunch so I put my order in for turkey, cheese and veggies on whole wheat (picture to follow). Today is going much better than yesterday — I even had time to make the banana bread that I had been trying to make since Monday! Hopefully I didn’t just jinx anything! I better think of something for dinner while I am out because I definitely don’t want to have to head back to the store late in the day like I did yesterday. Hope your day is going well too…the end of the week is getting closer!

Here is my lunch — it was great!

New Plan (breakfast 12.11.08)

Thursday, December 11, 2008 11:31 No Comments

The baby must have tired himself out yesterday because he slept through most of the night and just woke up early this morning to eat. By the time he finished I looked at the clock and it was after 6am so I figured I would stay up rather than try to get a couple more hours of sleep. This may be a good new plan — he usually falls alseep for a couple hours after his morning feeding so I can eat, shower and get a couple things done I hope!! Although, you would think after yesteday that I would realize no two days are going to be alike with a one-month old but wishful thinking never hurts I guess! I must still be in speed-eater mode even though Will’s asleep because I went straight for the cereal and milk again. I could have had eggs and toast but I didn’t want to waste any of my quiet time…and I didn’t want to start doing dishes so early in the day!

Parents, your child’s life is at stake and it’s time to make a change… Failure to take action NOW will be something you regret forever… That’s a pretty powerful statement – festooned right on the cover of the book no less. It’s alarmist, it’s convicting and (as scary as it may sound), it’s true. Brian Grasso, founder of the…
