A new study, published in Paediatrics, suggests babies who are breast-fed in early infancy take in fewer calories later in infancy than bottle-fed babies.

Researchers found that among 1,250 infants followed for the first year of life, those who were bottle-fed (expressed or formula milk) during the first six months, showed less appetite “self-regulation” later in infancy.
