Fast Food Profits in China Up 33%
Thursday, July 22, 2010 20:29Move over America, there’s a new fast food super power in town. And it isn’t an Ancient Chinese secret anymore. Fast food in China is selling like General Tso’s Chicken at a frat house.
In a statement Tuesday, Yum Brands, the parent company of KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, announced profits from China increased 33% in the second quarter.
But back in the West, Yum Brands said U.S. profits only rose 10% in the second quarter. Hey, maybe we’re finally wising up.
