Give the Gift of Health
Friday, December 4, 2009 21:41If you are out shopping for a loved one for the holidays why not get them a gift of health. Many people are
not apt to getting themselves something that will get them moving in a healthy direction, but you can give them a gift that can help make their 2010 a great and healthy year!
Some great ideas are:
Gym memberships – many gyms offer special deals for new members for the new year – ask the sales manager for their holiday offers.
Cooking classes – look at your local community colleges, community centers, or culinary schools for recreational classes in healthy cooking.
Home exercise equipment – is your loved one too busy to make it to the gym? It will no longer be a concern if you have a treadmill, elliptical machine, or even a spin bike at home so they can create your own workouts. Don't forget some dumbbells or exer-bands for strength training.
Food scale and measuring equipment – food scale and measuring cups and spoons make great stocking suffers.
Electronic equipment – the iPhone has apps to monitor food intake; Amazon Kindle you can download diet books; and Wii fit you can work out in the comfort of your own home.
Cookbooks – there are so many healthy cookbooks out now that you can have a hard time picking the right one but they make great gifts and hopefully you can be the recipient of a delicious and healthy home cooked meal.
