How Adults Become Overweight It's now been shown that one of the biggest predictors to being overweight as an adult is to be overweight during your adolescent years. It’s said that 70% of obese adolescents become obese adults.

That’s probably not too hard to believe, but when you look at the fact that 1 in 3 children in the United States are overweight we're looking at some pretty horrifying numbers. To combat this problem many studies have been launched in hopes of finding what the best methods are to helping children/adolescents lose weight and keep it off before reaching adulthood. Right now some effective techniques have been exercising, eliminating soda, and more walking.

I think those 3 tips are a great start to educating children on the importance of health and maintaining a healthy weight. Personally, I would also add less time in front of the TV and healthier school lunches. What other ideas do you think would help school age kids lose weight and keep it off?
