I Just Want Some Confidence in My Appearance [Forum]

I’m 17 years old, around 5ft 5 and weight roughly 142 lbs. I have been trying for ages to lose weight but I end up just putting it back on again. My specific problem areas are my thighs, upper arms and of course the stomach. It doesn’t make it any easier that all my friends are so tiny, it makes me feel so fat. I don’t want to be skinny, just not as podgy and I want more than anything to be comfortable in my own skin.
I figured by joining this diet blog I’d have more motivation to stick to it. I’m really busy at school and therefore do not have much time for exercise. I walk everywhere and sometimes go for long walks in the evening but it doesn’t make much difference. I tried exercise dvd’s but couldn’t stick with them and I can’t run as I have a recurring knee injury.
I just hope i can get help from those who are in a similar position to me, just losing 10lbs would be great. I just want a little confidence in my own appearance.
Any suggestions?
