Labor Day Race Results!

She did it! My mom stuck to her pace (about 13
minute miles) and ran every step of the Labor Day 5k race. At the end she crossed the finish line with a HUGE smile on her face as tons of fans cheered “Go Nana”. I’m so proud of her, but more importantly she’s so proud of herself. Today she’s headed back to school to show off her medal and celebrate her big accomplishment. Yeah Mom!!!!
As for me, my husband and I ran the race with the 4 boys in tow. Even though it’s a flat course, pushing the stroller against the wind was a tough workout. I did however manage to save up just enough energy to sprint to the finish line while the boys were waving to the crowd. Too bad at
the end, the race official announced that he thought we would be disqualified for running with scooter attachments on the jogging stroller. Oh well, we still had fun.
Tonight I’m headed to get my haircut. I can’t wait. I’ve been cutting out pictures all week. I need a little change. Then tomorrow it’s my oldest sons first day of kindergarten. I know he’s ready, I just hope I am. I’m debating if I should put him on the bus then run to my car and follow him! Like I said he’s ready, I’M NOT! Hope you had a great weekend.
