Today was a crazy day. We had a house showing in the morning so I had to be out extra early. I tried to get some errands done but the baby fell asleep in the car and since he hasn’t been sleeping well at night I couldn’t bring myself to wake him up. I actually read a little of my book as he slept and then we went to our play class which is conveniently located right next to the vet’s office. We are happy to have Bruce back at home although it’s very hard to keep him still and I am worrying constantly that he is doing too much. He’s having trouble getting use to that cone he has to wear but besides that he seems content. My lunch was way too late today since all the morning activities took a while and there just are not enough healthy drive-thru food options around here. When I finally got back home, I ate some turkey and cheese roll-ups along with a piece of cornbread and fresh strawberries. I wanted a sandwich but I was out of bread. I had snacked on some goldfish while I read my book so that helped to bridge me from breakfast to late lunch.
I took a nice long walk with Will this afternoon so that Bruce could rest without us around. On my way home I stopped at the grocery store and bought things to make a salad and pizza for dinner. Mike and I had Italian chicken sausage, mushrooms and caramelized onions on whole wheat crust and it was delicious! I still have half of mine saved in the fridge so I get to eat it again soon!

These Meals Provide Approximately: Grains = 5 ounces (including Goldfish not pictured), Fruit = 1 cup, Vegetables = 1.75 cups, Milk = 2.5 cups, Meat & Beans = 3-4 ounces, Oils = 3 teaspoons, Discretionary Calories = 175-185 kcals (cheeses, glass of wine, sausage)
