Hi everyone! It’s Abbi again. Here’s more about my yoga retreat to Italy…

On the second day of our trip, we visited Montalcino, an adorable Tuscan town that was a short drive from where we were staying in Bagno Vignoni. This is where our unofficial tour guide, Don, had lived for several years so he knew the town well and took us to one of his favorite restaurants. For lunch that day we had a delicious meal.

We started with two appetizers. A mozzarella and tomato salad…

And this amazing bruschetta with the freshest ingredients.

Next we ate an Italian specialty: pici, which is hand-rolled pasta, with Boar’s meat.

Finally, we polished off the meal with a fruit cup for dessert.

It was one of the most satisfying, yet light meals of the trip. Nonetheless, we still needed our yoga fix to counteract all the calories we consumed. Here is one of Sadie Signature Core Strenth Vinyasa Yoga moves that we did in Italy that you can try at home:

Bend your knees, and reach your arms forward into Fierce Pose. Look down–you should be able to see your toes. Inhale, arch your spine and reach your arms back.

Exhale and hug yourself as you round your back. Repeat 5-10 times, then on your last arch, interlace your fingers, and fold forward with bent or straight legs.

Do this with the move you learned last week and you’ll be sweating in no time! Tune in next Tuesday to hear more about my travels and to learn another one of Sadie’s calorie-torching yoga moves. See ya then!
