When to Workout Your Arms

When to workout your arms I know you're looking to tone and firm up your arms, but that doesn't mean you should train them in the beginning of your workout.

The reason you want to save your curls and tricep extensions for the end of your workout is because those areas are secondary muscle groups for many of your major upper body exercises like chest presses and rows. If you were to fatigue those muscles before you completed your larger compound movements you’d lack some stability and strength when handling the heavier weights.

Since your biceps will be getting worked when you do your back exercises and your triceps are in use when you’re doing your chest presses, my suggestion is that you save the icing on the cake for last. That means completing your bicep curls and tricep movements at the end of the workout when those smaller muscle groups can be fully worked.
